Description

Summary:

This position participates in the growth and retention of Individual and Medicare lines of business. This position will collaborate with the Individual Sales Leads in assisting them with sales support of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota agencies and agents. Assists the individual sales lead team and stakeholders (Agencies and Agents) to assure Blue Cross maintains its market position.

Accountabilities:

1. Assist in the development and maintenance of relationships with agencies and agents.
2. Assist in the development and update of agency and agent management plans.
3. Assist in the development, accuracy and delivery of agency and agent data including but not limited to books of business and scorecards using available systems, tools and resources.
4. Assist in the oversight of agencies and agents to insure quality and compliance to all Federal, State, and Blue Cross requirements.
5. Assist in working with Agency Services, Membership, Operations and Marketing to support the sales and retention efforts of our agencies and agents.
6. Assist in the timely identification and resolution of service issues by coordinating with operations personnel and Individual Sales Leads.
7. Assist the Individual Sales Leads in identification and implementation of process improvements that increase the sales and retention performance for agencies and agents.

- Work is performed in an office setting

- In-state and out-of-state travel occasionally required

- Required travel between Eagan campus building locations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business related field or 4 years of health plan sales or healthplan customer service experience in lieu of a degree

- Ability to obtain (within 60 days) and/or maintain current State of Minnesota health and life insurance sales license and annual Group Medicare Certification.

- Excellent analytical, problem identification and resolution skills as these pertain to benefit plans.
- Work experience in the healthcare industry.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well the ability to pay close attention to detail

- Ability to achieve results in a highly complex environment with tight deadlines and multiple shifting priorities.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute healthy and positive dynamics to the work team

- Able to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

- Positive attitude and the ability to participate as part of a team to assure plan compliance and customer satisfaction

- Demonstrated PC skills; including experience in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Overnight travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Blue Cross and affiliates’ products is preferred.
