Summary:
This position is responsible for obtaining data from various internal sources, understanding relevant differences between each data source, and designing/creating database structures for analysis and possible production reporting. The position will work closely with other business units, internal stakeholders, and outside consultants to create, develop, maintain and apply consumer segmentation methodology and framework across business unites throughout the organization. In addition, the role analyzes complex data and information to provide meaningful results, identifying success factors and improvement opportunities, suggesting potential solutions, and helping internal customers set strategic directions.
Accountabilities:
1. Facilitate and perform analysis on large datasets and databases
2. Execute the cleaning, pulling, reshaping, recoding, and organizing of data for efficient analysis
3. Perform analysis and generate actionable insights, make complicated simple.
4. Create and augment mathematical/statistical data models
5. Effectively participate discussions related research and insight generating.
6. Work effectively with project teams, including the completion of deliverables on time
7. Lead technical or process improvements to testing, analysis or research methods.
8. Act as a resource for other members of the department/division on business issues and may be responsible for training and guidance of other employees.
9. Independently manage the retrieval and analysis of data, and issues that may arise on multiple tasks or projects with limited management involvement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years related job experience, or 9 years job related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2 years experience using various statistical software and computer programming (e.g., SAS, Visual Basic, DB2, Oracle, etc.) - Or - Requires advanced understanding/experience with multiple programming languages, systems, systems design and/or software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access.
- Ability to perform validation techniques, as well as perform and interpret a variety of statistical analyses.
- Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate and interpret complex data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated analytic and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and with an ability to interpret and communicate analytical information to both individuals and groups in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and to senior decision-makers.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting with individuals having diverse professional backgrounds including business, technical and/or clinical.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of managed care and health care claims preferred.
