Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training courses for Government Program’s product portfolio and Individual/Family plans. This position is responsible for managing and auditing sales and marketing activities of sales representatives and delegated entities to ensure such activities are in regulatory compliance. Conducts needs analysis, integrates new policies, processes and technology into the training curriculum. Implements adult learning strategies and principles to ensure training/presentations are delivered in an innovative and effective manner ensuring departmental and customer objectives are met. Responsible for completing internal audits per documented guidelines.

Accountabilities:

1. Develops, delivers and evaluates training on Government Program’s product portfolio and Individual/Family plans.
2. Performs training needs assessments and provides recommendations for possible changes in workflow procedures or situations.
3. Recommends training, coaching, and development and process improvement opportunities to leadership based on quality audit results and questions received from staff and other business areas.
4. Works with management and staff to create and/or update workflows, procedures or policies and monitoring programs.
5. Implement and maintain a comprehensive vendor oversight program to ensure contracted entities adhere to compliance requirements and impose corrective and/or disciplinary action plans when required.
6. Contributes in the development of audit work plans and completes audits in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
7. Provides audit results to leadership and maintains confidentiality over audit information and audit results.
8. Assist in the development of integrated project plans and related activities to ensure project remains on schedule.
9. Completes assigned special projects that require research, analysis and documentation.
10. Establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all new and existing laws, regulations and other requirements that impact the sales and marketing of all Government Programs and Individual Family Plan products.

- In-state and out-of-state travel occasionally required

- Required travel between Eagan campus building locations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors’ degree and 3 years work-related experience in the healthcare industry or 7 years of work-related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Training experience including course/curriculum development and implementation
- Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional groups and actively participate in the problem solving process.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to shift priorities as business demands require.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and the ability to mentor and assist others.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Call center experience
- Experience in training, and/or auditing.
- Currently possesses or will acquire a Minnesota Health and Life License within 6 months of start date.
