Description

Summary:

The Sr. Client Executive position is responsible for business growth and the retention (account management) of our tribal segment. This position will work with Sales Leadership, Marketing and Product Development in developing a strategy that will ensure growth and retention specific to our tribal segment. This position supports our stakeholders (Agent's, Consultants, Brokers and group leads) and will participate in tribal forums and conferences both regional and national. This position plays a key role in CCS's overall growth strategy and will represent the organization in key department/division projects.

Accountabilities:

1. Identify and expand the tribal segment by building relationships, identifying key prospects and working collaboratively to ensure sales execution to ultimately grow net membership and profitability.
2. Lead, implement and coordinate the annual contract renewals for assigned tribal business by collaborating with customer and key stakeholders to negotiate the financial terms of the contract.
3. Develop, implement and update quarterly an Account Plan for each tribal group in the book of business to help in client retention and increase executive interaction. Account Plan updates will be key in helping to advance further opportunities-ancillary, wellness etc, to help retain business.
4. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders to increase loyalty by proactively servicing customers to provide timely identification and resolution of service issues by coordinating with Operations and Management within CCStpa. This includes identifying opportunities to improve CCStpa processes through communications with key contacts and stakeholders.
5. Ensure effective contract implementation by coordinating with Operations and Management within the Sales Implementation Process.
6. Provide Education to stakeholders and customers on CCStpa products, services and tribal initiatives (including our unique claims processing for eligible tribal groups). Initiatives include our parent company's Foundation and Center for Prevention work with our Native American populations.
7. Provide ongoing input and feedback to marketing/product management team by participating in interdepartmental committees, work groups and focus groups as requested.
8. Serve as a team and division resource in strategy, product, solution development and staff mentoring to maintain and increase enrollment in CCStpa.

- Work is performed in an office setting

- In-state and out-of-state travel occasionally required

- Required travel between Eagan campus building locations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business related field and 5 years health plan: sales or customer service experience or 9 years of health plan: sales or customer service experience in lieu of a degree.

- Ability to obtain (within 60 days) and/or maintain current State of Minnesota health and life insurance sales license and annual Group Medicare Certification

- Excellent analytical, problem identification and resolution skills as these pertain to benefit plans

- Financial capabilities including ability to read, understand, interpret and present complex renewal and underwriting formulas.

- Knowledge of ancillary programs available in the industry and Blue Cross (life, AD&D, STD, LTD, CDHP products, Population Health and Care Management programs, Medicare D, Group Medicare, voluntary benefits and disability management programs)

- Highly organized with attention to details and a track record of delivering a high level of client service in a timely manner while maximizing account profitability along with the ability to prioritize and follow-through on multiple projects that may occur simultaneously

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well the ability to pay close attention to detail

- Ability to speak in front of customer and members to educate, persuade and sell complex products

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute healthy and positive dynamics to the work team and the ability to train and mentor team members.

- Demonstrated relationships with key accounts, strategic partner agencies and with internal staff

- Ability to apply expert selling and account management skills in ambiguous or complex situations

- Demonstrate continuous learning in the industry and profession

- Able to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

- PC Skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes

- Overnight travel as required.
- Ability to learn the unique business processes that are part of our tribal groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Cultural sensitivity and experience within Native American communities desired
