Summary:
The position will work with management and sales leadership to develop, launch, and project manage all channel programs to ensure channel loyalty, engagement, and activity that will result in increased market share and to distinguish Blue Cross from the competitors for business sold via brokers/agents/agencies for all commercial markets. Assists in planning of agent events, conferences, advisory boards, and provides strategy and support for channel communication tactics and technology. Understands broad sales channel and agent needs and translates Blue Cross’ value proposition into compelling sales team and agent messaging. Expert and point of contact for internal and external questions regarding our agent loyalty programs. Works collaboratively with business partners in sales, marketing, agent compensation, sales technology and product development.
Accountabilities:
1. Manages and executes the strategy of the channel partner programs in an effort to drive loyalty, engagement and growth in commercial markets.
2. Collaborates with sales, marketing, agent compensation, sales technology and product areas to develop, plan, project manage and execute program initiatives.
3. Communicates and evaluates progress and performance.
4. Manages day-to-day agent loyalty program – benefit and process expert and point of contact for sales teams, internal participants and agents
5. Supports the management of Blue Cross’ understanding of channel perspectives through annual surveys, advisory boards, etc.
6. Writes, edits and designs internal and external communications, program rollout announcements and updates, conference/event presentations, program literature, agent website content in partnership with marketing and business partners.
7. Works closely with marketing resources to plan and execute agent conferences events and advisory boards.
8. Proactively looks for ways to improve the agent experience with Blue Cross
9. Represents channel partner programs on projects, initiatives and work groups as needed.
10. Acts as a mentor for others on the channel management team and often directs team members work

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in communications or marketing and 7 years of related work experience, or 11 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
- Proven writing experience that reflects what motivates agents and sales people and is action-oriented
- Experience with agent/broker engagement programs or events
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with business partners and cross-functional teams and can demonstrate conflict resolution, facilitation and consensus building skills.
- Ability to work effectively and confidently with peers, leadership and senior staff.
- Self-directed, high performer with strong project and time management skills for juggling many changing priorities and working under tight deadlines
- Ability to define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex ideas simply through written reports and presentation materials
- Demonstrated personal computer skills in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and project management tools
- Insurance industry experience
