Description

Summary:

This highly visible individual contributor is responsible for driving the organization, planning, influencing, guiding, and advancing the development and implementation of sales technology initiatives impacting sales growth, enrollment growth, retention, and required by health care reform and insurance exchanges. The systems currently under management of the Sales Technology function include Blue Edge, Incentive Commissions System, Salesforce.com and Healthcare.gov. This position presents to external agents/agencies, and internal partners as an effective tool for generating sales and enrollment growth.

Accountabilities:

1. Direct initiatives and oversee sales portals. Serve as the single point of contact, business owner and strong advocate for portal sales and service needs.
2. Identify business gaps, market needs, areas of improvement, and opportunities. Implement solutions, tools, and processes that will improve sales, enrollment growth, productivity, quality, service, and support health care reform initiatives and insurance exchanges.
3. Collaboration and involved with ETL design and process for new as well as existing projects.
4. Collaborate and influence sales, product management, IT, underwriting, service, membership, operations to advance integrated approach for development and implementation.
5. Monitor and research competitor and vendor capabilities as well as industry technology trends to position BlueCross Systems at, or better, than the competition.
6. Drive end user adoption and utilization of managed platforms.
7. Lead the process to identify distribution channel needs.
8. Collaborate in the design and build across teams on cross organizational projects and initiatives. As well as coordinate and lead UAT across multiple business groups within Sales. Supports Agents and Consumers on Technical issues related to systems and troubleshoot/resolve issues.
9. Successful relationships with teams/vendors, act as a liaison and subject matter expert. Act as a knowledge expert between sales and business partners across the corporation, as well as provide support and business knowledge for high visibility problem resolution as needed. Collaborate with agents on integrating Blue Cross technology within agents’ web sites.
10. Proactively communicate with and advise agents and key internal stakeholders regarding sales technology updates, issues, and initiatives. As well as providing direction and serve as the business owner for our direct to consumer sales technology tools to drive more direct to consumer sales.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree and 7 years of sales operations or related experience or 11 years of sales operations or related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of Salesforce.com administration experience or 1 year of Salesforce.com experience and 2 years on a similar CRM solution like Siebel
- Demonstrated creative skills in solution development and problem resolution.
- Exhibit strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and demonstrate creative solution development and strong sense of urgency.
- Thorough understanding of strategic project development and processes.
- Strong ability to work across divisions and system functions to facilitate solutions and problem resolution.
- Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable initiating and fostering growth in a changing business climate.
- Ability to lead and partner with a broad team of colleagues from diverse functions in support of team goals.
- Self directed, ability to work independently, and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time.
- Proven ability increasing technology utilization
- Experience driving upgrades and new functionality through/in technology platforms
- Demonstrated good organizations skills
- Desire to excel and ability to work at times under pressure, handling multiple responsibilities and projects
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and Access
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, flexible

Preferred Qualifications:

- Salesforce.com certification
- Master’s degree in business
- Experience in managing and serving community accounts and government accounts and strong understanding of client needs.
