Business Analyst Group Markets (Job Number:8696)
Description
Summary:
This position performs business analysis and research and is accountable for the research and reporting regarding the performance of Group Markets’ business (Fully insured and Self Insured) relative to its sales and profitability performance as well as trends. Performs detailed tracking of product performance (membership, revenue and profitability) as well as frequent special projects and ad hoc report requests.
Accountabilities:
1. Develop and implement reports/dashboards that measure product level performance
2. Develop and implement reports and insights that facilitate the ability of leadership to manage and optimize the financial profitability of business
3. Participate in cross-functional reporting improvement initiatives
4. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to data and processes to identify trends and emerging issues.
5. Use SalesForce data to provide insights on Group Markets’ sales pipeline, group sales, disbands and renewals and develop and prepare market research projects as needed.
6. Use computerized systems (PC and/or mainframe) to create reports, graphs, and charts of data developed and work collaboratively with other departments in the preparation of analysis.
7. Managing process with Finance for special billing of fees for specialty and value-add products
8. Actively participates in or facilitates work groups or committees impacting Group Markets business.
9. Leading and organizing frequent projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, accounting or related field and 4 years of sales or financial reporting and analysis experience; or 8 years of sales or financial reporting and analysis experience in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret data
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
- Proficient in Salesforce.com
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop accurate and appropriate communications
- Project management skills
- Demonstrated strong organizations skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and problem solve for them
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
