Senior Product Consultant-ACO (Job Number:8692)

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing leadership, planning and strategic direction for development of new accountable care offerings and care delivery models. The goal and results will align with the Group Markets' overall goals in order to achieve revenue, profit performance and business results. This person will be responsible for working with the key external customers/providers teams, as well as internal teams (including product portfolio managers, sales, underwriting, actuarial, operations channel, marketing communications, finance, IT,etc.) to drive the product development and commercialization. This will include, but not be limited to, driving market insights, market opportunity assessment, market planning, performance monitoring, pricing and strategic integration.
Accountabilities:
1. Leads the strategy and planning for the ACOs within Group Markets segment.
2. Develops the strategies, plans and tactics to achieve revenue and profit performance and business goals.
3. Advances an integrated approach to identification and resolution of market trends in collaboration with Sales, Market Research, Marketing Communications, Customer Experience and other functional areas.
4. Drives the discovery and validation of market problems and opportunities (both existing and future customers) and translates these to opportunities for the product – to ensure that the product continues to evolve to create market differentiation.
5. Drives the product development in collaboration with ACO partners and advances strategies that support the Triple Aim-lowering total cost of care, improving care experience and overall population health.
6. Provide leadership to shape the work of ACO sub teams to support the overall product goals(these teams include Integrated Health Management, network, sales, channel, marketing, research, underwriting and operations.)
7. Leads the planning with cross functional teams and the technical product managers to ensure implementation is executed in a seamless manner with operations and technical teams.
8. Monitors and evaluates the product line performance including market share, profitability, growth, customer feedback and competitive insights.
9. Maintains close relationships with the market (through customers, brokers, agents, and consultants,) to inform opportunity areas.
10. Builds and manages relationships with ACO partners and outside vendors.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years work experience in healthcare sales, marketing, sales operations or related field or 7 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent product line management skills and supporting project management skills
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple team members and including task assignment, working with key customers (internal or external), and managing project deliverables.
- Strategic thinking, analytical, innovation, financial and decision making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple audiences (internally-various levels of management; externally-healthcare professionals, business people and consumers.)
- Proven experience in developing and executing winning product plans to deliver corporate objectives.
- Ability to drive deliverables in a complex, often ambiguous, environment.
- Proven experience in managing products in a highly regulated environment while meeting overall corporate objectives.
- Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
- Self- directed to expand industry best practices to extend to BCBSMN. Overnight travel is required infrequently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product management discipline expertise preferred (ex. Pragmatic Marketing)
- Account management
- Experience in network management or new care delivery offerings
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
