Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for the design and administration of the sales incentive plan partnering with Compensation, the HR Business Partner, Finance, It and Commercial Markets. The position gathers, analyzes and interprets sales data to aid in the sales incentive design as well as to help drive sales.

Accountabilities:
1. Designs, implements and administers the sales incentive plan to align to the sales strategy.
2. Conducts an annual review of the sales incentive plan to ensure the plan drives appropriate behavior and remains market competitive. Updates plan accordingly.
3. Provides reports, forecasts, analysis and interpretation to help drive sales and analyze sales incentive plan effectiveness.
4. Develops communication and training materials and conducts sales incentive training and informational sessions. Makes presentations to management.
5. Develops and maintains sales administration guidelines.
6. Participates in process improvement efforts to revise and streamline sales compensation-related processes.
7. Participates in salary surveys including position matching/validations and analysis of results to ensure sales positions are market competitive.
8. Develops proactive approaches to identify compensation challenges within the sales and account management teams and develops solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field plus 5 years’ experience in Sales Compensation or 9 year related experience in lieu of a degree.

Competencies:

1. Demonstrated ability to design and administer sales incentive compensation plans in a cost-effective manner.
2. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create dynamic models using multiple variable inputs.
3. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Access, including the ability to create complex queries.
4. Ability to analyze data, prepare effective proposals and reports and make recommendations.
5. Communication and interpersonal skills to include effective oral and written communication, presentation skills and ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
6. Demonstrated ability to assess accuracy of data.
7. Planning skills that include problem solving and project coordination.
8. Organization skills to include objective decision making.
9. A customer service mindset.
