Senior Product Consultant - Transparency (Job Number:9743)

Summary:
The Sr. Product Consultant will have ownership and accountability for BlueCross Transparency Solutions. They will serve as the primary point of contact for sales and account management to help drive adoption of our solution and ensure an exceptional experience for our clients and partners. Responsible for working with the key strategic vendors and internal teams (including digital marketing team, product portfolio managers, sales, marketing communications, finance, IT, etc) to drive the day –to-day management & delivery of transparency solutions including member out of pocket, targeted engagement alerts and other transparency-specific member engagement programs and services. This will include, but not be limited to, driving market insights, market opportunity assessment, market planning, go-to-market planning and implementation, performance monitoring & problem resolution, pricing, and strategic integration.
Accountabilities:
1. Participates in the development of overall business strategy and planning for the transparency solution roadmap.
2. Develops the strategies, plans, and tactics to achieve revenue and profit performance and business goals.
3. Advances an integrated approach to identification of market trends in collaboration with Sales, Account Management, Market Research, Marketing Communications, Customer Experience, Digital Marketing and other functional areas.
4. Drives the discovery and validation of market problems and opportunities (both existing and future ) and translates these to opportunities for the product – to ensure that the product continues to evolve to create market differentiation
5. Manages the product life cycle process and is responsible for the successful delivery of new offerings and refinement of existing offerings, including the go-to-market plan.
6. Collaborate with internal implementation, marketing and engagement resources to develop and deliver a training plan and marketing and training materials for sales/account management and our clients.
7. Leads the planning and implementation with cross functional teams to ensure implementation is executed in a seamless manner with marketing, sales, operations and technical teams.
8. Monitors and evaluates the product line performance including market penetration, profitability, growth, customer feedback and competitive insights.
9. Maintains close relationships with the market (through vendors, customers, brokers, agents, and consultants,) to inform opportunity areas.
10. Determines opportunities and strategies to buy/build/partner decisions to advance overall product line
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years work experience in account management, digital project management or management of online products or services or 7 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple team members and including task assignment, working with key customers (internal or external), managing teams and customer relationships and managing project deliverables.
- Consultative abilities, sound judgment, analytical abilities, and decision making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple audiences (internally – various levels of management; externally – healthcare professional, business people, and consumers).
- Business finance familiarity/experience/comfort level
- Proven experience in developing and executing project plans
- Ability to drive results in a complex, often ambiguous, environment.
- Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow through.
- Self- directed to expand industry best practices to extend to BCBSMN.
- Overnight travel is required infrequently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of healthcare and benefits industry.
- Digital product management especially in cost transparency solutions
- Digital or technical project management
- Experience working with software as a service (SaaS) implementation models.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
