Summary:
Responsible for identifying, defining and leading (thought leadership) on-going social media strategy and management across the enterprise. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding and exceeding the social needs of BCBSMN. The Social Media Product Manager will accomplish this by tracking emerging social trends, anticipating market needs, defining appropriate strategies / initiatives, executing & managing social media strategies, and measuring effectiveness of campaigns.

Accountabilities:
1. Develop, execute, maintain, and monitor a comprehensive social media strategy to increase visibility, fans, traffic and engagement.
2. Ownership of editorial calendar, content creation, development and publishing across all social media networks and platforms.
3. Ownership of social media strategy and execution to support existing and evolving digital properties and experiences.
4. Successfully plan and lead new social media campaigns and initiatives from inception to post-launch evaluation.
5. Lead development of and maintain BCBSMN social media management standards, policies, procedures and rules of engagement for social media.
6. Create social media marketing collateral to support campaigns & initiatives
7. Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success.
8. Mentor, provide training and educate professionals throughout the organization on emerging trends, new social networks, changes to existing platforms, and best practices to enhance their understanding of social.
9. Drive innovative ideas to create and deliver best-in-class social media initiatives / programs to meet BCBSMN organizational objectives.
10. Research and develop methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies, to position BCBSMN as industry leaders in social media.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science or related field and 10 years in social media marketing (strategist, manager, etc.) to include deep knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other popular networks or 14 years of technology design in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
- Experience with monitoring / measurement platforms (Radian 6, Hootsuite, etc.)
- Experience with creating and publishing successful social media content
- Significant knowledge of social media best practices, communities & trends
- Ability to embody BCBSMN values & represent as social media thought leader
- Experience in working with integrated marketing teams
- Demonstrated experience and passion for social networks and technology
- Ability to effectively respond in real-time to consumer needs and crisis efforts
- Proven track record of successful social media outreach and visibility
- Candidate able to demonstrate robust social media usage on personal channels
- Record of success balancing strategic, analytical, creative, and operational teams to effectively implement and execute social media initiatives.
- Results-oriented approach driven by organizational and consumer goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Masters, advanced degree and/or MBA highly desirable

- Familiarity with healthcare technology products, systems and tools
- Ability to interface / present with senior level and executive management
- Recognized within social media industry as expert or thought leader
- Understanding or experience with launching email, text and search campaigns
- A strong interest in, and knowledge of, how healthcare organizations utilize social media communications to engage with their consumers.

- Knowledge of healthcare market (value chain, market dynamics, regulations)
