Description

Summary:

This position is part of the Sales Technology function that supports external and internal facing systems. These systems provide portal capabilities to process, display, and conduct daily business with BlueCross and specifically the sales organization. The systems currently managed by the Sales Technology function include Blue Edge, Incentive Commissions Management System, Salesforce.com and Healthcare.gov.

Accountabilities:

1. Supports Agents and Consumers on Technical issues related to systems through incoming calls. Troubleshoot/resolve issues.
2. Involved with initiatives and involved with overseeing sales portals. Point of contact/advocate for business partners for portal sales and service needs.
3. Identify business gaps, areas of improvement. Implement solutions, tools, and processes to improve sales, enrollment growth, productivity, quality, service, and support health care reform initiatives and insurance exchanges. Involved with the development of technology reports to monitor technology usage and technology driven sales.
4. Collaborate in monitor and researching competitor and vendor capabilities as well as industry technology trends.
5. Collaborate in driving end user adoption and utilization of managed platforms.
6. Involvement with ETL process for new as well as existing projects.
7. Collaborate with and influence sales, product management, IT, underwriting, service, membership, operations and other functional areas to advance systems.
8. Direct and influence key initiatives and projects.
9. Maintain successful relationships with sales business partners, agents, agencies, and sales technology vendors. Provide support and business knowledge for high visibility problem resolution as needed. Respond to high visibility service incidents. Collaborate with agents on integrating Blue Cross technology within agents’ web sites to generate more sales and enrollment growth for Blue Cross.
10. Proactively communicate, train and advise agents/internal stakeholders of updates, issues, and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree and 5 years of business/IT liaison experience or 9 years of business/IT liaison experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret data.
- In-depth knowledge of Blue Edge/DPM or other consumer portal experience.
- Experience driving upgrades and new functionality through/in technology platforms.
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated good organizations skills.
- Desire to excel and ability to work at times under pressure, handling multiple responsibilities and projects.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Access.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, flexible.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience administrating product selection and membership enrollment portals.
