Individual Sales Lead (Job Number:9760)

Summary:
This highly visible role drives new IFP (Individual & Family plans) and Medicare Sales by building relationships with targeted Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota agencies and agents. This position is responsible for supporting and assisting the Sales and Marketing efforts of Independent agencies and agents. This position will also be responsible for creating, delivering, and monitoring agent training for IFP & Medicare products.
Accountabilities:
1. Develop and build relationship with assigned agents/agencies.
2. Directly assists the Blue Cross agencies and agents in creating and responding to individual/family and Medicare sales opportunities.
3. Works closely with Marketing to ensure Blue Cross initiatives align with agencies/agents sales goals.
4. Responsible for redefining and improving processes between Blue Cross marketing and its individual and Medicare agents.
5. Assist Sales Oversight to Monitor and audit the work and processes of agencies/agents to insure quality and compliance to all Federal, State, and Blue Cross requirements to meet and exceed regulatory standards and expectations.
6. Works to develop training material for agent and deliver in person, via teleconference calls, or web ex.
7. Works In conjunction with Agency Relations, Membership, Operations, and Marketing to support IFP and Medicare sales and marketing efforts of our agents.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of healthcare sales experience or 5 years experience in health care sales in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to mentor other sales personnel on sales and relationship management skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-through, and coach agents on sales process steps
- Persuasive oral and written communication skills
- Ability to mentor other sales personnel on sales and relationship management skills
- Currently possess or ability to obtain a Minnesota Life and Health license.
- May travel up to 50% including overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Blue Cross and affiliates products.
